Our Agreement

‘Excess Baggage & Things’ Policy Agreement
Turning Excess Into Dollars Since 2008

Who We Are
One wo(man)’s stuff is another wo(man)’s treasure: we’re a full-service, one-stop-shop for your excess baggage. We encourage our customers to put aside great condition, brand-name clothing & accessories they are excitedly ready to part with. We pride ourselves on finding a new home for the items by overseeing the entire pre & post sales process. This means that our clients receive the best value for their items without lifting a finger. Whether an item is sold on eBay, consigned to a neighboring resale shop or donated to a tax-deductible charity, we’ve been getting unwanted ‘treasures’ off our customers’ hands – and out of their closets – since 2008.

What We Sell
EB&T welcomes all brand-label items as long as they are spot, defect & odor-free. Women & men’s clothing, coats, exercise wear, perfume, jewelry, handbags, shoes & accessories are among the items we sell, consign or donate. It is at EB&T’s discretion to determine the best avenue for items, and after doing it for over 8 years, we’ve gotten it down to a science. We leverage historical sales data & competitive pricing to make the final call!
Please remember: out of sight, out of mind. If you have to think twice about giving up an item, please enjoy it for another season. We encourage customers to only hand over items they are 100% ready to part with. Once an item is handed over to EB&T, it’s added to our merchandise database & non-returnable.

Where We Sell
After handling over 18K+ transactions, we’ve learned that eBay isn’t always the best venue to sell everything. We have established strong relationships with local resale shops, consigners & auction houses that may resell your items; these EB&T partners already know the quality of our inventory and hand-pick items that will sell in their respective shops.

How We Sell
EB&T provides customers with a door-to-door clothing concierge service. Below is our go-to-market plan to explain how we attempt to get you money for unwanted or excess clothing and accessories:

1. PICK UPS: During our initial pick up, we like to meet with our new client [that’s you!] to explain our service & answer questions. All ready-to-sell items should be in great condition & in bags prior to arrival. We do not review items or provide a full inventory receipt. We transport all items back to our EB&T headquarters, where we prepare OUR inventory list to account for all items. All new customers are subject to a one-time $25 initial pick up fee which will be deducted from your first check. You are more than welcome to do a personal inventory list for your records prior to our arrival.
2. PRICING: We research the market price for each item & strategize the best way to sell each item for the best value. It’s now down to a science – specific brands & types of apparel sell better online while others are more marketable in-store. It’s at EB&T’s discretion on how to price & where to sell each item and if an item is not sellable. Clothing & accessories that do not sell well online or on the shelves of partnering resale store will be donated. EB&T will provide a completed tax-deductible donation form with your check at the end of the month.
3. MARKETING: For online sales, we create customized, detailed eBay postings with high-resolution images to showcase the features of each item; afterwards, we let eager shoppers bid up the price of your item to ensure you receive the best offer. For offline transactions, we have weekly office hours & relationships set up with local resale & consignment shops. Each selling platform has a unique buying audience & we’ve near-perfected the algorithm, so sit back & let us do the running & selling.
4. START TO FINISH: We traffic all question from potential buyers & oversee the entire pre & post sales cycle. This includes: picking up & vetting through your treasures to determine the best selling platform, taking pictures & measurements to create detailed eBay postings, transporting clothes to neighboring resale shops or donation drop-offs, answering questions from prospective online buyers, packaging items to ship across the country (and even world!), and finally cutting you a check at the end of the month.
Exhausted from how much work goes into it? Great news: you don’t have to worry about a thing…we do it all for you!

Show Me the Money: Payment Structure
Customers receive 50% of the final selling price of an item. An eBay selling price is calculated after insertion & PayPal fees are deducted. Customers receive a check at the end of the month after buyer payment has been received & cleared.
We encourage customers to only hand over near-perfect condition items. At EB&T’s discretion, if items require cleaning or repair, the cost of reparations will be deducted from your monthly total. A 10% service fee will also be appended to the final sale price for each item that requires cleaning or reparations.
Note: At the end of the month, we do not provide an itemized list of each item’s final transaction price. Due to the size of our monthly client list & the high volume of items coming through EB&T each month, this is non-negotiable. Again, once you hand over your items, think ‘out of sight, out of mind’ – that is, until you get that incremental check at the end of the month!

LEGAL STUFF – Limitations and Liability
EB&T shall not be liable to you for any direct damages in excess of $50.00 and customer waives any claims and their rights to dispute the manner and methodology by which EB&T sells or disposes of any property provided to EB&T under this agreement.
This Agreement constitutes the entire Agreement between the parties and supersedes all prior contemporaneous oral and written Agreements and should be construed under the law of the State of Maryland. Any changes to this Agreement must be made in writing.
I have read, understand & agree to this process. Please acknowledge that you’ve received and agree to this process via email. We will collect a signed copy on our visit.
